Bob Hope Airport Train Station is an unstaffed Amtrak and Metrolink rail station at Bob Hope Airport in the city of Burbank, California. It is served by both Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego and Metrolink's Ventura County Line from Los Angeles Union Station to Montalvo. The ten Pacific Surfliner trains that serve the station daily and 29 Metrolink trains that serve the station each weekday connect arrivals from the airport to downtown Los Angeles' Union Station in about 30 minutes. The Coast Starlight from Seattle and Emeryville also stops here.
A free airport shuttle transports passengers to and from the terminal area during the airport's operating hours[1], although the station is a short walking distance from the terminals. Metrolink operates some trains as shuttles[2] from the Bob Hope Airport station to Los Angeles Union Station with intermediate stops at the downtown Burbank and Glendale stations.
The station is to become part of a new intermodal transportation center which the Burbank city council approved in late August 2010. The facility is to cost around $120 million, and will be completed by 2012. It will serve rail, air and bus travelers, as well as incorporating rental car facilities.[3]
Of the 73 California stations served by Amtrak, Burbank was the 34th-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 115 passengers daily.[4]

The station contains only Metrolink ticket machines; however, tickets to and from downtown LA (Union Station), and all stations between, are accepted on both Metrolink and Amtrak trains as part of the Rail2Rail program. Likewise, passengers with a valid Amtrak ticket between Bob Hope and Union Station may also use it for transport on Metrolink trains.
On weekdays (except on major holidays), there are a total of 20 trips to downtown LA from 5:51 a.m. (Metrolink) to 9:13 p.m. (Amtrak). On weekends and major holidays, only five Amtrak trips are in service and only between 8:59 a.m. and 9:13 p.m.
